The Miracle Aspirator

My poor little Sunshine is sick. She's got a summer cold. She's still too young to know how to breathe through her mouth, so it's been difficult for her. We keep her upright as much as possible. She hangs out in the bathroom a lot with a hot shower running. 

Like all babies she needs a little help to clear her nose. The bulb syringe from the hospital just wasn't cutting it. It doesn't work well and it only serves to make her angry.

Desperate times...

So we traveled the 70 miles to town to the only place that sold....

The Snot Sucker.

Let me just say, once you get beyond the the irrational fear of swallowing a booger, it works great! Pair this sweet little contraption with some saline nasal midst and you've for a recipe for a cleaned out nose. Did I mention it is also dishwasher safe?

Now, I'm not meaning to sound like a commercial here. I am not being paid to write this. I only wanted to share with the other mamas out there something that better helps you and your baby through the inevitable cold.

Any other ideas to make baby comfortable and help her get well?
