Beyond the Scope of Imagination

It's been a week since we officially moved out of the blue nightmare and in with family.  It is a tight squeeze and we are grateful, but it is an adjustment for all involved. Honestly, I don't know that the set up is healthy. I don't want to sound ungrateful, I'm just being honest.

We've prayed and recognized that God, who engineers our circumstances, is in control. It is only Him who can provide other options for us.

Last night He did. And in classic Divinely Awesome fashion, The Lord completely went beyond the scope of our imagination.

A member of our church heard about the ordeal with the blue nightmare and our current living situation.  Last night we received an email with photographs of their ranch house (a second home). They want us to stay there rent free/utility free for as long as we need.

A-ma-zing...

I am blown away not only by the incredible kindness and generosity of these people blessing us with their blessing, but by the astonishing way in which God provides. So instead of cramming seven people into a four bedroom house, disrupting the schedules and lives of family, our little family of four will be living in a four bedroom ranch home on 40 acres with a swimming pool. Instead of rushing to find a place, and possibly another bad decision, we can take our time and find the right place for us.

How wonderful to trust God with our needs. Through this whole experience I've tried to hold fast to the knowledge that God engineers our circumstances...even though we are experiencing chaos. And if God engineers circumstances, then He is also working out His will, so I need not worry. And if I need not worry, then I simply need to trust, ask, and wait for Him to provide what we need.

I am reminded of a verse from a fabulous song written by Reuben Morgan:

"You said, ask and you will receive
Whatever you need..."

Oh, how it encourages my faith to see God work as He has. Even though the future is still uncertain, I can trust fully in his plan and His provision.

What about you? What circumstances are you facing that you need to trust God with? Let me encourage you to throw your hands in the air and let it go.  God can provide better than you. God can solve this problem more efficiently than you.  If you are willing to let go and give Him room to work in your circumstances, no matter the cost, on the other side you will marvel at his perfect provision and plan. He will amaze you beyond the scope of your imagination.
